Sights on Health, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is committed to providing quality, compassionate care for those whose geographical and/or social status limits their access to medical care. A dedicated group of physicians & healthcare professionals from across the U.S.A. volunteers their time to provide free cataract eye surgery, medical care & eye care to those in need in South America & the U.S.A.

“Almost $7,000 raised!!!

On Monday April 25, 2016 our long time participant and fundraising committee member Julia Colmenares along with a committee of dedicated participants, Ana Castaneda and Frances Ng, created a beautiful Peruvian event at la Candela restaurant in Hicksville. We were treated to a lavish Peruvian buffet, and fantastic Peruvian music. The evening included a beautiful assortment of raffle baskets and a 50/50 raffle which all tolled netted is almost $7,000! These funds are much needed by our young charity as we strive to secure state of the art and portable equipment so we don’t have to continue to pay for renting each mission. It will also help defray the costs of transporting our dedicated staff and patients to the clinic.

A big thank you to our participating medical students for helping with set up, check in and raffle ticket sales. Thank you also to leonor Gonzalez, iris Canepa, David and Ana Aseng and Elizabeth Sanchez for their help! La Candela is worth the trip for an amazing and fresh meal and delicious drinks! Thanks for hosting us!”
