A Promise to Peru, Inc. is looking forward to another busy year.  We have three missions planned and our teams are in place!

MISSION SCHEDULE 2019

Eye Care Mission: Rosebud Indian Reservation, South Dakota
Our team is working with Raymond Dennis and Wendy Nasta – Black of the nonprofit Artist for World Peace on their Native Eyes Mission. We are returning to Sinte Gleska University, one of the few tribal universities in the nation. The group plan to examine patients at the University, as well as establish a mobile unit to reach those in the more rural areas of the 922,759 acres of the reservation. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe, more properly known as Sicangu Lakota Oyate, or Burnt Thigh People, are descendants of the Sicangu Oyate of the Tetonwan Division of the Oceti Sakowin or Seven Council Fires. Last year, the team of 35 people from around the country examined 1,200 patients and 1,000 pairs of prescription glasses were dispensed.  We plan to do the same great work!
