Frank Garcia, CST and Dr. Messina spent 6 hours on a sunny summer Saturday sorting through hundreds of surgical instruments in preparation for the upcoming September sight restoring surgical mission in Riobamba, Ecuador. Now Frank will transport these surgical instrument trays to Retina Ambulatory Surgery Center of New York where Erika V Cruz, Head of Central Sterile Department & Caroline Rienzo will inspect and clean each of the hundreds of instruments. Our goal is to perform 100 eye surgeries while we are in Ecuador.
